The fight between the UGC and the state governments is still continuing!
New Delhi: In a statement made on July 7, University Grants Commission(UGC) reiterated that the term end examinations for all final-year students must be held by the end of September 2020 in either offline/online or blended mode. The states on the other hand are not ready to conduct these exams as the social distancing guidelines in the wake of COVID-19 are still active.
The globally infected pandemic caused many lives and many states are still struggling to cope the damage made by the virus. Meanwhile, it is not easy for the governments either to risk lives or to provide infrastructure to conduct online examinations. Some universities like Delhi University announced open-book online examinations for final-year undergraduate students when several other universities are yet to take decisions. This mismatch is causing anxiety among students.
