SEBI Invites Applications for Internship Programme in Legal Department
SEBI Internship Programme: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has invited candidates for an online internship programme in its legal department. The internship programme which is held in April every year will start from June this year. The tenure of internship will be 1 month.
The application process is open and will close on May 25. The application window for internship for June 2020 is kept open till May 25, 2020.
In view of the coronavirus, the internships will be held digitally. The applicant shall make himself/herself available through an online medium such as video-conferencing and teleconferencing at all times during the working hours on weekdays.
Eligibility Criteria for Application
- The applicant shall be a student of a Law School/University recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- The applicant should have completed at least 3 years of the 5-year LLB course or 2 years of the 3-year LLB course.
- Students pursuing LLM course are also eligible to apply.
- The applicant should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the previous semester results.
How to Apply
The heads of the department or the course coordinators of the respective law schools or universities in-charge of the internship program need to submit applications recommending not more than three applicants from their law school in a given quarter, SEBI said. No individual applications will be accepted, it added.
“Applications shall be e-mailed to SEBI within the first week (1st-7th) of every quarter for internship commencing in the next quarter,” SEBI said. The applications for internship shall be sent to the e-mail address: email@example.com.
