Maharishi Panini Sanskrit University Ujjain was established from August 15, 2008 under Maharishi Panini Sanskrit University Act 2006 No. 15, 2008 and on August 17, 2008 under the chairmanship of Honorable Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the then Governor and Chancellor Dr. Balram Jakhar.
