LDC Recruitment 2020 Notification Out

Notification for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) 2020 released. LDC examination is one of the most popular competitive recruitment tests in Kerala which attracts applications from more than 15 Lakh candidates. Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) usually organizes LDC exam once in 3 years to fill the Lower Division Clerk positions across various government departments. There is no change in eligibility criteria and age limit.

The exam is anticipated to be conducted from June – September next year.  KPSC is aiming to conclude the exam and publish rank list in April 2021. The validity of present LDC Rank list expires on April 2021 of which the recruitment drive was finished in 2017. The rank list was published in April 2018. 3554 candidates got Advice memo for appointment till date. There were around 17.94 lakh applicants for LDC 2017. Next year the no. of applicants are estimated to reach 20 lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18-36 years. Usual age relaxation is applicable to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward communities.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have pass certificate of SSLC Examination

Exam Pattern: Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Exam will be conducted for 100 Marks, which consists of four parts i.e Part I contains Simple Arithmetic and Mental Ability, Part II contains questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Part III consists of General English and Part IV consists of questions on Regional Language (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada). Total duration will be 75 Minutes. Medium of question paper is Malayalam, Tamil & Kannada (Except General English).

Exam Syllabus:
Part I – Simple Arithmetic and Mental Ability – 20 marks
Part II – General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 50 marks
Part III – General English – 20 marks
Part IV – Regional Language (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada) – 10 marks

How to Apply

Go to official website, thulsi.keralapsc.gov.in

If you have not already done One-Time Registration, register yourself before applying.

For One-Time Registration: Upload a recent photo ( that is taken after 31-12-2010) and scanned copy of signature. At the bottom of the photo, your name and the date of photo taken should be printed clearly. After registering you can login using your name and password and apply. For Applying you can click on the ‘Apply now’ link along with the Notification ( Category No. 207/2019).

For those who have already registered: Login using your credentials and Apply. For Applying you can click on the ‘Apply now’ link along with the Notification ( Category No. 207/2019).

Select the District you want to be appointed as the exam center also. Earlier you could select different districts as your exam center and the district you wish to be appointed. From now onward both these districts should be one and same.

Tick the checkbox, asking whether you are qualified. And finally Submit.
