Kerala PSC to Introduce Biometric Scanning for Exams
In its drive to strictly enforce rules and regulations and security to the exams, KPSC has decided to use biometric scanning to rightly identify the applicants. As an initial step to bring about this, KPSC will make it compulsory to add AADHAR details while registering. Around 10% of applicants have not added their AADHAR card details during one-time registration.
Although they are planning to make adding AADHAR details obligatory, the biometric scanning in exam centers will take time. PSC has asked Keltron for help. Keltron will provide them with necessary machinery for this purpose.
In future, PSC will use biometric data to identify people who have registered with forged qualifications and work experience certificates. This can reduce the misuse of resources PSC suffers each year due to fake applicants. Official notification and other details will be updated by KPSC in the coming days.
