JEECUP on May 31, Applications Open till April 20
JEECUP 2020: The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh has extended the last date for Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) commonly known as JEECUP or UP Polytechnic examination. Interested can apply till April 20. It is conducted for those candidates who want to pursue polytechnic courses from the prestigious colleges situated in the limits of Uttar Pradesh.
The candidates will also get a chance to modify their application form from April 21 to April 24. Earlier, the exam was to be held on April 26. The delay is of over two months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
As per the revised notice issued by the UPJEE Council, the entrance exam will now be on May 31 for group A and E and on June 1 for group B, C, D, F, G, H, I and group K1 to K8. As per the rules, JEECUP admit card will be available on the official website, a week before the examination.
Candidates must go through the JEECUP 2020 eligibility criteria before filling the application form:
Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th class examination from any recognized board.
Domicile Certificate: Candidates should have domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh.
Subjects: Candidates should have passed examination with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics subject.
Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 14 years as on 1st July 2020.
The exam pattern remains the same. The offline exam will have 100 objective-type questions and candidates will be given three hours to solve them. The exam will also have negative marking. For each correct question, four marks will be given and one-fourth marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode by debit/credit card or by SBI E-challan method. Application Fee for various categories is given below:
For General/OBC Candidates – Rs. 300 + Bank Charges
For ST/SC Candidates – Rs. 200 + Bank Charges
The successful or qualified candidates are required to participate in the JEECUP 2020 Counselling which will be organized from June 2020. The final allotment of seats will be done through counselling.
