IIT Bombay Released Dates for UCEED, CEED 2020; Registration Begins

CEED, UCEED 2020: The Indian Institute Technology (IIT), Bombay released the application form for the Undergraduate Common Entrance for Design (UCEED) for admission to Bachelor’s of Design (B.Des) and Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) for admission to Masters in Design (M.Des) yesterday – October 9.


  • Last Date to Register – November 9, 2019
  • Online Registration with late fee – November 10 – 16, 2019

November 9, 2019, is the last date to register for UCEED and CEED. Candidates can submit application forms with a late fee from November 10 to 16, 2019.The exam will be conducted on January 18, 2020. Interested candidates can apply for UCEED at the official website, uceed.iitb.ac.in. To apply for CEED visit the official website, ceed.iitb.ac.in. Those who clear the exam will be eligible to take admission in IITs for the design courses.

Important Dates

UCEED exam 2020 and CEED exam 2020 will be held on January 18 next year. UCEED examination is held for admission to the B Des programmes offered at IIT Bombay, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and IIT Jabalpur. CEED is conducted for the admissions to the Masters of Design and the Ph D programmes in Design offered at IISC Bangalore, IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, and IIT Jabalpur.

Eligibility Criteria

CEED 2020 eligibility criteria as stated by IIT Bombay is that aspirants should have completed their degree / diploma / post graduate degree program of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2020, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2020.

For UCEED: The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2018, OR appearing in 2019. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Candidates who will be appearing for their Class XII (or equivalent) in 2019 under the the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) should get the Annexure 1 certified from the Regional NIOS Board Office or the Regional State Education Board Office.
