CLAT 2020 Postponed Again, Last Date for Applications Extended to July 1
CLAT 2020: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 has been postponed yet again in light of the extended nationwide Coronavirus lockdown. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has extended the application submission process till July 1 and the revised dates will be announced thereafter giving a 21 days’ notice before the exam.
President of the Consortium of National Law Universities and Vice-Chancellor of National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal, Professor V Vijaykumar has confirmed the development. He has revealed that the fresh dates for CLAT 2020 will be decided on July 1.
CLAT was first announced to be held on May 10 which was then later on May 24. Then again postponed to be held on Jun 21 and now it will be held after July 1. Those who have not yet applied can do so at the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
CLAT is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in the country. This year, the CLAT will be held in a new pattern. In November, 2019, the Consortium of National Law Universities had announced changes in the exam structure and composition of questions. Starting this year, candidates will have to attempt 150 questions instead of 200.
